Decorate your Camper

Holiday Decorating Tips for Your Iowa RV!

The holidays are quickly approaching, and everyone enjoys a festive environment for celebrations, even in your Used Iowa RV! Here at Webster City RV, we want your RV to be as comfortable and homey as possible, so we have a few easy tips on how to decorate your RV. The following are ways to create centerpieces on tabletops while you have a holiday party. Some of these items can already be found in or around your RV, so you won’t have to worry about too much clutter!
Vintage Poinsettias: Poinsettias are a holiday classic in the winter time. In order to give this traditional flower a different look, you can easily re-purpose coffee containers, flour tins, tomato sauce cans, or cookie jars. In order to keep to a theme, you can choose vintage versions of these containers. However, if you wish to use the items you have around your travel trailer, then any tin with an interesting design will be fit for the job.
Woodland Holiday: With nature all around you at your campground, you have the materials for your holiday centerpiece at your fingertips! You can find all natural pieces like nuts, pinecones, pine needles, berry sprigs (make sure they’re not poisonous) and birch around your campground. Make an outing of it with your family and see who can find the most beautiful pieces. This would be an opportune time to teach your children about plants to avoid while out on a campground or hiking. Arrange your findings with pillar candles and votive candles with varying heights for a beautiful display.
Bundt Pan Candleholder: Do you bake in your RV? Then you might already be an owner of the essentials for a charming country holiday table. If you have a Bundt cake pan, as well as small baking molds, then you only need a few more items to create a gorgeous centerpiece. You can place a pillar candle in the middle of the Bundt pan and surround it with winter berries in the mold of the pan. In the smaller baking molds, place an assortment of cinnamon sticks, rosemary sprigs, smaller candles or leaves.
We hope these tips and will create the ambience that you wish for this season. Happy Holidays!

Festive Pie

Festive Pie

As we edge closer to the holiday season, many of us are pulling out old recipes to come up with some great dish. If this thought has been plaguing you, rest assured we have just the thing! Let us introduce, Festive Pie.

Festive Pie
·       1 Oreo cookie crust (premade)
·       1 Jell-O Instant Pudding (pistachio or red velvet)
·       2 cups of milk
·       1 cup of strawberries
·       ¼ cup of chopped kiwi
·       Red and green sprinkles
·       1 can of Reddi Wip

Once the crust is set in a dish, begin mixing the pudding mix and milk in a bowl. Stir by hand or with a mixer for about 2 minutes and 15 seconds. Once the good stuff is thick enough, pour it into the waiting crust. Place the dish in your refrigerator so it can set. Now, you can take a few minutes to wrap a present or find your favorite holiday music.

This is where the fun begins! You can really get creative here and make any picture you want with your fruit. Here, we’re making a ball shaped ornament but feel free to pick your own.

Place the strawberries in a circle in the middle of the pie and fill it in. Create a top to the ball with the kiwi slices.

With the can of whip cream, spray dollops along the edge of the crust. Try a test puff before carrying over to the actual pie to avoid a mess.

Finally, get the colored sprinkles out and shake across the entire pie, including the edges of Reddi Wip!

Now you have a fun, sweet dish to share are your holiday meal or party. Did you try Festive Pie? If so, let us know how you liked it in the comments below!
